We provide skilled and knowledgeable representation in matters involving:
- Taxation. All of our lawyers have masters of law in taxation degrees, one also being a Certified Public Accountant in California. Our lawyers help individuals and businesses with disputes and ndegotiations with the Internal Revenue Service, as well as the Colorado, Wyoming and Indiana Departments of Revenue and the Utah State Tax Commission. We handle disagreements over tax liability and collections matters, including assisting you with entering into installment agreements, submitting Offers in Compromise, negotiating settlements of audits, obtaining relief from levies on social security benefits or pensions, understanding the tax consequences of foreclosures and bankruptcy, and representing you in the United States Tax Court and the United States federal courts.
- Estate Planning, Probate & Elder Care. Our lawyers work closely with individuals wishing to establish plans for the management of their assets during their lifetime and the distribution of their property upon their death in such a manner as to minimize tax liability. We carefully evaluate different strategies and tax implications and will prepare all necessary documentation in compliance with the laws of the states in which we are licensed. We provide additional services to protect the interests of especially vulnerable elderly individuals including monitoring their day to day care or selling their assets in anticipation of placement in a nursing home. We also work with executors, administrators, personal representatives and heirs, helping to administer and distribute the assets and complete the requirements of the probate process in order to settle an estate or administer a trust.
- Immigration. We assist clients in assessing the tax consequences of establishing residency in the United States and developing strategies to minimize tax liability. We also assist individuals who seek citizenship or permanent legal residency status in the United States, whether through asylum, family relationship to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or humanitarian parole proceedings.
- Financial planning. Our office provides wealth management and financial planning.
